Ascending a rock face with my climbing partner, at the crux of the climb, 500 feet off the ground on a multi-pitch, looking at the next move and realizing I’m too short for this move to be able to pull it off statically. “Chalk up,” I say to myself and then I scream to my partner “Watch me,” as I dyno into the next move, heart pounding in my ears, that same tingly feeling saying “the ground is much safer!” I believe true fulfillment lies in confronting the unknown and savoring every heartbeat of the experience.
