Here to Make you Feel Something
Emotive Portraiture. That’s what I like to call it. No dead eyes here (actually maybe I might’ve been going for that) and if it looks like anything less than raw and real I’m doing it wrong and you should drop a line on the contact page and tell me to fix it. This one is a passion project I’ve been mulling around in my brain since I got into photography, and it’s very much a work in progress. Emotive, Psychological, whatever you want to call it. The practice of taking pictures of true and raw emotions. Not posed smiles. Trying to depict the spectrum of emotions we humans feel sounds like a good time to me! The idea is to make you feel something when you look at these pictures.
It’s a Work in Progress…
Emotions are the core of our existence—messy, raw, powerful—and my lens is drawn to capturing them in their purest form. They connect us in ways words never can. My journey into emotive portraiture is fueled by a deep desire to freeze those fleeting, unguarded moments. I aim to evoke connection through raw, unfiltered emotion, creating images that stir something deep within.Every image I create is a window into the human experience: joy, pain, love, resilience. It's not just about taking a picture; it's about feeling the pulse of a story in every frame. I aim in each portrait to reflect not only the subject’s humanity but also their emotional landscape. Aiming to pull on heartstrings, stir memories, and provoke thought. My hope is that when you look at my work, you don’t just see it—you feel it, deeply. Photography isn’t just a visual art to me; it’s a passionate, soul-stirring conversation without words.
